My name is Joe Connolly and I would enjoy making your vehicle, boat, airplane or RV look fantastic! I do so by using premium products and I have extensive experience in dealing with challenging situations. I appreciate the opportunity to serve you and I will treat you with courtesy and respect.

For most people, cleaning and detailing is not fun or convenient. I want to make the process as easy and enjoyable as possible for you. I genuinely care about your car along with your experience. By offering a high quality mobile detailing service at a reasonable price, it is my goal to earn your repeat business.
My mobility benefits you in two very specific ways:
- I have a lower overhead and pass along those savings to you.
- It is far more convenient for you to have your vehicle serviced at your home, thus negating the need for you to arrange for a pick-up/drop off
People often ask me how long I have been detailing?
The short answer is . . . . .Since the mid-1980's.
The long answer is . . . . . . My dad was in the Navy and there were two ways to do things: 1. His way. 2. The wrong way. While I did not fully appreciate his dogmatic approach to cleaning cars as a kid, once I owned a vehicle I began to understand that the axiom "if you take care of your stuff, it will take care of you" holds a lot of truth. Growing up, we would use cut up old bath towels for rags, a leather chamois to dry vehicles (we had no idea that we were scratching the paint and adding micro abrasions), protect the paint with the "go to" green can of Turtle Wax and (I am ashamed to admit this) Armor All on the tires and dash. In 2015, I desperately wanted to pay off my mortgage and get out of debt. I started a detailing business as a side hustle and it grew to consume my time. It became my primary source of income and it is now my career. I began machine polishing/compounding in 2017 and I began installing ceramic coatings in 2018. Staying a one man, mobile operation has allowed me to be very flexible and responsive to customer's needs.
I believe that it is important to protect the value of vehicles, boats, airplanes and RVs as they are expensive, however they are meant to be driven/enjoyed. Whenever I can clean them up to a very high level, make them look as good as possible and then protect them with the finest products that I can source, I feel a sense of accomplishment. I have also been able to meet a lot of really interesting people and worked on some super cool vehicles. I am more of a "car guy" than I was as a teenager and I enjoy talking cars and business concepts with customers. I have a bachelor's degree and two master's degrees but I firmly believe that college is oversold and you do not have to go to college to be successful. I take pride in working with my hands and providing a valuable and needed service that extends the life and protects the value of vehicles, boats, airplanes and RVs.

My name is Joe Connolly and I own and operate Make My Auto Shine. I am a mobile auto detailer and I detail boats, cars, trucks, SUVs, RVs, airplanes and agriculture equipment. I also install ceramic coatings, restore headlights, restore trim and I machine polish paint (a.k.a. "paint correction"). Below is my attempt at a commercial.
